Participation in Skill Development training program for faculty in Internet of Things

It is our pleasure to inform you that ISTE in collaboration with BNY Mellon is conducting Skill Development Training Programs in Emerging Technologies for teachers working in engineering institutes in the country. The purpose of the training is to make them familiar with the emerging trends and to bridge the gap between Industry and institutions. Considering the demand from Faculty and Institutes it is decided to conduct online program on Internet of Things at first instant.

Nature of Program : Online
Course Duration : Will be announced shortly
Time : Daily Three hours at a time suitable for Maximum participants (tentative)
Course fee : Free of Cost

Selected participants will be given an IOT tool kit free of cost.

To qualify, the registered faculties have to clear the pre-assessment test to attend the training. The pre-requisite for pre-assessment test will be communicated to the faculty appearing for the test. After successful completion of training, the faculty fulfilling the required criteria only will be issued Certificate. Finally, the certified faculties are expected to train at least 100 students from their respective institute.

Please note neither Institute nor Faculty have to pay any charges for the training. However, it will be the responsibility of the Institute to spare faculty for training as per schedule and faculty is expected to complete the training successfully with attendance and performance.

Please identify the eligible (Two for each program) who are having basic knowledge and ready to train students from your institute.This will give an opportunity to the faculty to gain knowledge in trending technology and certification and in turn it will be beneficial to the students of your institute.

THE CANDIDATES WHO HAVE UNDERGONE TRAINING IN THE SAME AREA EARLIER ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY.

Actions to be taken by the Institute:

• To nominate maximum two faculties interested in Internet of Things (IoT) who have not undergone training under this ISTE BNY Mellon Project earlier.
• To ensure that the selected faculties attend the pre-assessment test to participate in the training and be regular after selection.
• To make available facility for students to undergo training by faculty in the area in which they trained.
• To recover the amount suggested by the ISTE as cost of Toolkit from the unsuccessful participants and return it to ISTE.
• To ensure that successful faculty conducts the program in IoT for the benefit of students in your institute

Note: Please note that the form can be filled only once. Hence either any one of the interested participants can collect the required data and fill it or the institution can fill it. No participant can fill the form individually without recommendation of Institute.

For registering, please be ready with the following data:

• Step 1: ISTE Institutional Membership Number (If the institute is not member, they can become member through online)
• Step 2: Fill the basic details of college and participant’s personal details (2 participants from each institute per program)
• Step 3: Participants ISTE Life Membership Number. (If the participant is not life member, he/she can become Life Member through Online).
• Step 4: Scanned copy of recommendation letter (In a single letter, mention details of two participants and duly signed by the head of the institution with institute seal).

To give exposure to emerging trends to students is a basic need and can be fulfilled only after imparting appropriate training to the faculty. With this motto BNY Melon and ISTE have joined hand in hand with Train the Trainer concept to make student future ready. We expect about 100 students to be trained, but with your strong support this figure can be increased to any level.

Now every institute is doing their best for student development and are starving for excellence.
